A little about me. I've been photographing people and things I love since I was a little girl. I've been lucky enough to get to do it for a living since 2005. I have my BA in Social Science with a concentration in Anthropology which makes me appreciate the culturally diverse weddings we photograph in a special way. The best part of my job is experiencing and documenting the unique and diverse wedding traditions of each family. No two are alike yet each one is connected in ritual and celebration that unites us all.
I took a lot of art and photography classes in college along with my liberal arts studies and have always had a fascination with people and their faces. Whether I am drawing them or photographing them, each person has a story that is uniquely theirs.
During and after college I was lucky enough to model for Vidal Sassoon (that's where I fell in love with my short hair) and Clinique in San Francisco. That experience gave me a good understanding of what it's like on the other side of the lens and how important it is for the photographer to be a comfortable person.
After getting married and having our daughter, Amy, I got serious about documenting all of her moments and eventually started working to help other people to keep their precious memories.
With the 100's of weddings we have captured, I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. It's an honor and a privilege to be trusted with the responsibility of being your photographer and that is something I take very seriously.
